Mocha M&M Cookies
A cocoa dough with dissolved espresso powder beaten into it, studded with plain M&M's.

| 2 Tbs espresso powder — dissolved in 1 Tbs water | |||||||
| 1/4 cup cocoa powder | |||||||
| 1 cup plain M&M's | |||||||
| 1/2 cup chopped nuts | |||||||

Do not overbake
The card says so in as many words. Ten minutes, just until set — they finish on the hot sheet during that one minute of cooling.
Dissolve the espresso first
Two tablespoons of powder into one tablespoon of water, then beaten in with the egg and vanilla. Added dry it stays gritty.
The M&M's and nuts
Both are on the ingredient list but the method never says when they go in. After the dry mixture is the natural place.
